Identifying Talent
For Business Success
Our Executive Search division helps your organization to find, hire and retain the top talent needed to manage and grow your operations in the United States. We carry out in-depth searches to identify high-caliber individuals, capable of leading your North American business and sales.
Profiling the Candidate
Businesses that approach us are usually looking for highly motivated, ambitious, driven individuals. To ensure we find the right person for our client’s organization, we assist in the development of a profile of their ideal candidate and use this as the basis for our search.
We take care to understand their organization, the opportunity or challenge they face, and their performance expectations and map this against characteristics and personality types that will yield results.
Finding the Candidate
Which approach is best? At New World we carefully consider the job parameters and requirements and custom-design a recruiting strategy aimed at achieving solid results in minimal time.
Advertising: We may propose advertising in the Wall Street Journal, as this prestigious publication is read by tens of thousands of executives across the USA. In other instances, we may recommend advertising in local media.
Direct Search: By concentrating our search on the client’s US competitors we can identify individuals with the necessary skills, experience, connections and personality to move across to our client. We use this approach to potential candidates to see if either they would be interested in the position, or if not, whether there is anybody else they could recommend.
Internet searchIn special cases the very best candidates may be found in restricted databases. New World Executive has access to a range of private databases designed solely for use by recruiters. These contain a wide assortment of high-caliber candidates and are extremely helpful in identifying individuals who may have been missed by conventional search methods.
Verifying Candidate Credentials
Background Check: Once our client has identified their preferred candidate, we carry out an extensive background check. In addition to verifying their credit history, driving record and educational history, we also check if they have ever been the subject of court proceedings (criminal or civil, at both Federal and State level), source references, and can also arrange drug screening and psychometric tests if desired. Once we have collated the findings, we review the information with our client. This stage of the selection process is absolutely crucial in ensuring that our clients can make the hire with total confidence.
Selecting the candidates
Résumés: As a result of our efforts, we typically generate a large number of applications. Every résumé received is then evaluated against the candidate profile. We then present the very best applications to our client for their feedback as their input proves invaluable in refining our search and assisting us in identifying the most suitable candidates.
Candidate screening: We invest considerable time and effort in screening possible candidates. In addition to reviewing applicants’ education, work history, key skills and management style, we also try to build up a picture of their personality, including their work ethic, integrity and ambition. The combination of advanced screening techniques with telephone and face-to-face interviews ensures that our clients receive a selection of candidates with proven skills and abilities, and with the desire to exceed expectations.
Final interview: This last stage of the selection process is key to our clients’ success, which is why they conduct the final interviews themselves. However, New World Executive representatives sit in on the interview to check for any discrepancies with past responses, study candidates’ body language, and note any areas that may need further exploration.
